Brightwater provides geologic and mineral resource evaluations in support of conservation easements, mitigation projects, land conservation, regulatory permitting, and other property-specific environmental decisions.  For conservation easements involving severed mineral interests, the applicable framework can require evaluation of whether the probability of surface mining is “so remote as to be negligible.” The professional assessment may consider geological, geophysical, economic, and commercial-feasibility information.
